Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Connect Care, extensive knowledge of Care planning and tracking tools, InterRAI LTCF, Netcare, CCHSS, Microsoft Office - Excel and Word, working knowledge of office equipment. Great interpersonal communication skills, Charge Nurse experience, experience in conflict management and Nonviolent Crisis Intervention, ability to multitask and be a critical thinker in stressful and challenging situations. Must have moderate computer skills. Dementia care and management.
Preferred Qualifications:Connect Care education would be an asset. Specifically, Continuing Care Facility Living Nurse and Care Planning Badge.
