Completion of masters degree in Psychology; or masters degree in Social Work (clinical specialization) including education in mental health assessment and psychotherapy; or masters or bachelors degree in Occupational Therapy including training and experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy; or masters degree in Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing including training and experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy. Active or eligible for registration with the applicable Alberta regulatory college
Additional Required Qualifications:Consideration will also be given to Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing with a related Master’s degree including training in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy or, considerable experience in mental health assessment and treatment. Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Minimum of 3 years of relevant mental health experience. A minimum of 3 years direct crisis experience, preferably in a community setting. Formal clinical training in triage, intervention, stabilization and case management skills, preferably in a community setting. Ability to ambulate, climb stairs, and move quickly without limitations in a variety of environments. Extensive knowledge of the resources of Addiction and Mental Health and the community.
Preferred Qualifications:Demonstrated ability to work well with a range of community and agency stakeholders as well as clients and families.
