Completion of a CCAPP-accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP) as a Pharmacy Technician.
Additional Required Qualifications:One year+ experience in a hospital setting with a variety of responsibilities including but not limited to order entry, checking, sterile compounding (including hazardous products), and all aspects of drug distribution such as ward stock, narcotics and individual prescription filling. 1 year+ experience in an oncology setting. In addition, the successful applicant will be expected to demonstrate proficiency in the following: Demonstrated communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, organizational and problem solving skills. Demonstrated ability to work in teams. Demonstrated computer or word processing skills. Committed to continual personal quality improvement and lifelong learning. Preferred Qualifications:Epic computer program experience. Prior experience (6 months+) in a community or other relevant pharmacy setting. Membership with a pharmacy professional organization (CAPhO preferred).
