Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program. Current registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Current Basic Life Support (BLS-HCP) certification is required. Must have at 1 year of experience with assessing and treating Medicine patient populations. You are able to utilize strong judgment by analyzing facts, considering the impacts, and arriving at a sound conclusion, seeking counsel when appropriate to effectively plan treatments and discharges from hospital. You can work independently and as a part of the team creating strong, effective interpersonal working relationships with peers and other caregivers. You are a reliable worker who is flexible in using their time effectively by prioritizing competing tasks. You have effective teaching skills for students and other professionals. Basic computer skills, and ability navigating Netcare, Outlook and other electronic medical records are required. You are required to transfer, carry and lift patients and equipment more than 50LB.

Preferred Qualifications:

Provisional licenses with the college will be considered but general license preferred. 1 year of experience within the last 5 years in Alberta Health Services acute care setting preferred. Skills and knowledge in the areas of chronic disease management, dementia, hip fractures, and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation are an asset. Experience in using ceiling lift, mobility aids and handling bariatric equipment. Connect Care training is an asset.
