Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Qualifications:Six months cardiac experience required. Excellent assessment, documentation, clinical, organizational, and patient care skills are required, as well as the ability to communicate findings in a concise and accurate manner. Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills needed. The successful candidate must be able to identify own learning needs and seek guidance in professional practice where knowledge deficits occur. Cardiac rhythm analysis and interpretation required. Certification in Cardiology advanced skills required.
