Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five (5) years, completion of the following free courses is required: CRNA Medication Management - Chapters 1 - 4 (https://connect.nurses.ab.ca/home/%2Flearning-and-development%2Flearning-modules%2F) and the NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification (https://courses.nextgenu.org/course/view.php?id=271#section-0)
Additional Required Qualifications:Completion of a recognized perioperative program. Recent experience in an OR of equivalent size within the last 5 years. Must be able to wear lead for many hours. Ability to stand scrubbed for many hours supporting the surgical team.
Preferred Qualifications:Ability to perform consistently in a highly organized, rapidly moving and complex environment. Ability to collaborate within the expectations of a highly complex and integrated team. Demonstrates advanced problem-solving skills integrating critical thinking and good judgement. Demonstrates communication skills promoting respect and team spirit.
