Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five (5) years, completion of the following free courses is required: CRNA Medication Management - Chapters 1 - 4 (https://connect.nurses.ab.ca/home/%2Flearning-and-development%2Flearning-modules%2F) and the NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification (https://courses.nextgenu.org/course/view.php?id=271#section-0)

Additional Required Qualifications:

Demonstrated excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication and priority setting skills required. Demonstrated reliability required. Able to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment. Basic computer skills are required. Resume required. Proven reliability/dependability required. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment required. Position requires candidates to perform moderate to heavy work on a regular basis in an RN/LPN/HCA capacity in order to ensure safe patient care and safety of unit staff. This job is physically demanding, the incumbent will be required to assist with lifting, turning, and mobilizing patients as well as other physical tasks. Ability to support/ assist patients of varying mobility status required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Two years Charge nurse experience preferred. Two years previous orthopedic and surgical experience preferred. IV, PCA, epidural, Central Line Drains and Wound Care experience preferred.
